Inspirations Quirks Poem by Bill Cantrell

Inspirations Quirks

Rating: 5.0

I cannot be summoned by ones bidding
It is I who choose to come and go as I please
When I knock on your door,
I inhibit your senses with vision
I hold all keys to all doors of thought,
Bound by no chains or fears,
From the widest smile, to the saltiest tears
Each step of mine is from one threshold to another,
From earth to moon to stars and beyond all poetry
Yes, I decide whom shall enter these majestic gates
Look, I place your eyes far above the clouds,
You will have an obsession for achievement of thought
Clarity cleanses all obscurities
Often, I depart without notice
My dimension is anything but stationary
I demand constant change,
And I bore easily
Yet, I will teach you to carry the weights of love to the highest star
I peer beyond thought and design,
I stretch beyond the beyond
What is this you ask?
My purpose?
Funny you should ask,
No one has ever inquired of my wants,
And so I am the one inspired now
To inspire is to be moved
Actually,
To see yourself as I see you
