Into The Storm Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Into The Storm

To tell the truth i'm terrorfied,
I've never flown this high before,
A sweet sensation tasted by lips, so passionately,
A quick getaway, not far from reality,
Maybe I'll go, maybe I'll stay a day longer,
I see the birds, I question if they too, are terrorfied,
- - - - ; - - - - - - - - - - -
Does the wind still feel the same,
Am I still in paradise, from the corner of my eye everything looks the same,
What is paradise, is it the ocean that shines the clearest blue,
Is it truly the sights seen in the farthest corner of the earth,
Does it know the depth of the storms thats soon to start,
To tell the truth i'm terrorfied,
- - - - -; - - - - - - - - -
A cluster of emotion brinks,
Am I lost never to be found,
The debris of hurricanes, the bending of the trees,
Scars left behind,
All seen from the corner of my eye,
I see the birds, I question if they too, are terrorfied,
Do they feel the same as I,
- - - - ; - - - - - - - - - - -
A sweet sensation tasted by lips,
So passionately,
The clouds were clear a day ago,
Then it was easier to smile,
As my reflection stared back at me,
The tree stood still, I wanted more before I knew what more was,
- - - - - ; - - - - - - - - -
To tell the truth, i'm terrorfied,
I've never flown this high before,
Maybe I'll go, maybe I'll stay,
As everything can be repaired,
I see the birds, I question if they too, are terrorfied
