to my friend from long ago Melanie Lee Bernhard, in memoriam
a sea of days in which no land is sighted
we faint through clouds
and cannot touch the ground
no parted waves
and former dreams indicted
and all we read
a tear blurred page
a sea of days how can dry land appear
amid such weeping as to compose a second sea
a third sea gathers there where God is grieving
and floods eternity for thee.

I would like to translate this poem
'and all we read a tear blurred page' a state of troubles and despair. Well written.
