It Doesn'T Make Sense - Poem by Kellie Younger
How can you make promises,
And break them?
You took him away from all he knew.
The only good place he’d been to,
He finally was becoming open.
And you make him leave.
Please explain to me how this makes sense.
How would you like to be abused,
Shipped around to so many new places,
Finally find a decent home,
And then be kicked out?
You knew it was hard for him to trust.
He trusted me; he loved me
And you decide to make him leave.
Take me away from him
Make him leave the one person he needed most.
He has to start over,
Learn to trust again.
How could you do this?
I thought you understood,
I thought you cared,
But once again, I was wrong
I can’t trust you
I can’t trust anyone
My heart’s officially closed.
Never again, will I love.
If only you knew how much I needed him.
Maybe he wouldn’t be gone.
I might not be in so much pain.
Who knew love would hurt so much?
You took away my only reason to live.
I’m slowly dieing,
But no one knows.
No one cares.
My life is painfully ending …
