When I was young boy I was very happy.
I knew little sorrow, mostly joy.
Life was just a simple game,
And I was an innocent child.
It is the reality of the situation,
Overcoming doubt and uncertainty.
Now that I know what I must face in life,
I will live it with dignity and grace.
I am doing my best to become a man.
Weaving through life's complicated maze
Without it leaving me in a fog.
I can make it if I put in the effort,
Even if there are times when I will just get by.
I will earn my wings,
By facing each challenge that life throws at me.
Someday I will find peace of mind
When I realize that life is not so cruel.
I will see that what seems bad is really good,
And that things work out for the best.
