It's Green Everywhere Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

It's Green Everywhere

It's green and green,
Everywhere the green leaves win,
The pale and wrinkled leaves just fall unheeded from the trees,
Scatter and are never honoured or revered,
They groan with despair for their abject condition.
Green is fresh and lively,
It is the heaven of the great earth,
Its beauty and splendour is always delightful to watch,
To the lovers of nature it is pure and sacred as an altar.
But no one can deny the inevitable truth of life cycle,
The leaves which are dull and crinkly now, were also green and beautiful once,
They were greatly loved and adored then,
Gradually, they lost that magnificent stage.
In course of time the green leaves which are dazzling and sparkling at present, will have to suffer the same tragic fate like the dull and pale;
Considering everything, the wretched class should accept the reality
That beauty and greenness is not everlasting.
