Jasmine - Poem by Kenneth J Thompson

A tender breeze caressed the trees
As it refreshed my weary soul
And heaven sends a sweet fragrance
That fills the air that blows

It blows my mind, my soul’s refined
As Jasmine’s carried by the wind
It dries my eyes of tears I cry
And makes me want to love again

So precious is this blossom
So heavenly it’s begotten
But in my mind there still lingers doubt
Cause what blows in my life can surely blow back out

What shall I do? Is it taboo?
This fragrance blowing in the wind
Or could she be my destiny?
This scent of love called Jasmine
