Journey - Poem by Shauna Stoltz

To some you're just a teacher
to others a friend
someone they can always count on
that'll be there till the end

it's really hard for us all
to tell you how we feel
but after this fall
hopefully you'll know

you push us to be
the very best we can
and in return all you ask
is for a great concert

hopefully we have shown you
just how much we care
by singing our hearts out
May third on the stage

no words can thank you enough
for everything you've done for us
making us smile and laugh
when you fall or mess up

a lot of us couldn't
have gotten through
without your energy
and you just being you

so even though you're leaving
please don't forget us
and all the times we had
seventh hour treble voices

we work hard every day
with all the songs
so you can show us the way
to the journey ahead

and even though this year
our journey ends with you
it'll still go on next year
with you always in our hearts

the journey isn't over
for either of us yet
we're just going down
a different path now

we wish you the best
in your journey ahead
in hopes you don't forget
all the fun we had

come see us when you can
we'd love to see you again
for our journey began with you
we all love you Mrs. Koelling
