What greater phenomenon, joy to eye and soul
But trees, leaves swaying gently in the wind
World's lungs, creating oxygen, supporting life.
Jungles, forests, woodlands, keeping us alive
Mankind's crown of jewels, each tree precious
Inheritance protecting against global warming.
Cutting down trees, burning for grazing land
Forest dwelling animals and plants made extinct.
Money and greed before sustaining lungs of world
Thousands of trees felled daily creating less oxygen
Souls rejoices with the lush beauty of trees
Sunlight shafts through foliage making pools of light
Hearts uplifted walking woodlands, seeing flowers
Nesting birds, squirrels, badgers, and elusive deer
