Julianna Poem by Julianna McLeod (LaPlante)

Julianna

Rating: 4.5

Just a young girl that still doesn’t
Understand her purpose in life.
In the world she thinks she is always judged,
And forever lies waiting under the knife.
Never does she feel like she is loved,
Not even when love for her is shown,
Always, she will feel alone.

An insightful depiction of deplorable life at low ebb occasioned by poor concept of self, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. A good portrayal of the power of negative thinking in nicely encapsulated poem. Thanks for sharing Julianna. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

So true for so many, perhaps a mentor, someone they can confide it what their true feelings are would be a massive help...Excellent poem.....

a quite common feelings when one is in her/his teens.. Don't worry, dear Julianna - and keep on writing! As a dear friend of mine says, think of ''the psychological benefits of being a POET... POETRY can provide a way to close the gap between our inner and outer lives, and heal a rift in our human Self''.. Enjoy! Cheers

Never does she feel like she is loved, uncertainty in life, loneliness and the thought what is going to come, lack of love all these expressed in this wonderful poem. thank you
