One assumption spurs it all.
Time slows to a crawl and the walls become a heavy shawl.
My heart beats faster and faster,
the salty streams flow more aggressively than ever.
Everything shattered inside in two minutes.
Trust, love, sanity, beauty, security, happiness...
all of them dove head first into hell.
And then,
apart we fell.
The projector speeds through memories in reverse,
all that had lead up to this.
Two hearts separated by time,
two souls in love torn apart by one of pure evil.
Bullets of friendly fire saturated the skies,
taking away love's only chance to survive.
I unburied the surrenderance flag, and took its place- -
used it to mark where I am destined to lay.
W e did this,
all three of us.

Break ups are never easy, but time starts to help ease the pain. Great poem.
