Just A Lovely Weekend

JUST A LOVELY WEEKEND
THE IRONY OF LAUGHTER
============================================

The rain hit my skin in little droplets, in cold pricks, but a delight so I smiled.
At times the wind blew in a small, chilly storm, but I did not care, I giggled.
Everything went wrong, and everything went right, a long day, a distant light.
I spend too much coinage, and did not make enough.
I had to laugh at it all, and hummed a love tune.
In early morning the sun did shine for a few hours, light caresses my flesh,
Twas so delicate, so soft and sweet as if spring had just sprung.
No time to breath throughout my day and within the night oh lovely I must say.
Trying hard to see more good than bad, yet I get so caught up,
sometime being drowned in bad I forget to just enjoy myself and smile.

I smile, I love it, I am light, I am laughter.
She giggles, I giggle, She chuckles, I the same do,
A lovely, flawless fur, velvet and soothing, sprawling the garden of red roses.
And She stands there, in their midst, dancing to the tune of my guitar!
By God! She could almost pass for a stellar!
And then She had to go and get ready for fast coming exams.
Oh! I wish she doesn't have to go.
But it's just a lovely weekend,
can't wait till the next.

Thanks Chinedu! Such nicety of words endears me to you immensely.
