Kagiso Mogale

Just A Thought - Poem by Kagiso Mogale

I slept thinking last night
Houses wracked and people branded
Nobody wants to look back
All we care for is the rand

We've prided ourselves with bellies
That are forever filled with beer
Forgot about everything and everyone
Like we've never gone a day without bread
Was that the idea of 'changing the world'

Poet's Notes about The Poem

It was just a thought, It's not a poem. But I'm open to critisism...so feel free

    Hello Kagiso!
Really happy to welcome you aboard!
Yes! We do talk about changing the world!
But how many of us really swing into action?
A point well raised through this thoughtful poem! well done!
