With nothing undone,
Do not give up—
If you're not number one.
Just be faithful.

When life doesn't go
As you want it to,
Don't be discouraged
And don't be blue.
Just be faithful.

Don't be ashamed
When plans go awry,
And it hurts so bad—
You want to cry.
Just be faithful.

When life's troubles
Reach their peak,
Your faithfulness
Will always speak.

So don't be bitter,
And don't be hateful.
Continue to strive
To be faithful.
