Kindness From A Stranger Poem by Walterrean Salley

Kindness From A Stranger

Rating: 5.0

I met a delivery man today
Happily going about his way.
He scattered kindness as he went
As if one who was heaven sent.
By grace he was put on my route
A word of faith to speak, no doubt.
So pleasant was his attitude
I thanked him with all gratitude.
He knew not that he inspired me
To be the best that I could be.
My day would grow in magnitude.
My life would leap in latitude.

A stranger’s kindness blessed my day
In such a random, heartfelt way.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Caution: be wary of strangers. One can’t trust just anybody. But this happened to have been a kind, good-natured, trustworthy person who was employed by a reputable agency. But still, he was a stranger to me.
