Just For Giggles Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Just For Giggles

How can you tell if a wish is a wish, or a prayer
And if the wish is a wish
Then who will listen to the wish
From what I hear there is no one there
That will listen, or even care

But if the wish is a prayer
Then there is someone there
Who will listen to your wish, and even care to answer it
For then a prayer can be a wish granted as a prayer

So lets now look at the wish

A wish by itself is hoping for this
But the prayer in the wish is asking for it
So when you wish in a prayer, then someone will care
To answer the prayer because it is not a wish for no one to hear

I wish I would stop doing this
Or should I say, 'I pray'
Now that this poem is in my head
I'm wishing it away
