Keep A Straight Face Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Keep A Straight Face

Rating: 5.0

K-eep a straight face,
A-lthough you want to laugh;
S-tay looking serious,
S-how the pious effort, not half.
A-lways keep a straight face,
N-ever turn a blind eye;
D-on't turn a deaf ear,
R-efrain from an
A-libi.

U-nder sacred occasion,
R-emain sober or earnest;
M-aintain the solemnity,
I-n spite of some jest.
N-ever make joke or prank
I-nside the holy place;
T-hirtieth of warm July,
A-im to keep a straight face.
