Kept To Keep Defended Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Kept To Keep Defended

Jealousy.
Envy and resentment.
Are impossible to keep defended.
Or pretended not to feel.
Kept in time in one's mind,
Without the mind unwinding.
Found ungrounded or connected,
To stability.
Although the hope of those,
Perceiving this affect to be temporary.
Are at a loss to continue,
Pretending publicly.
What has slowly been exposed,
Can no longer be kept diagnosed...
As a normalcy kept to keep defended.
