Brilliant, Richard. This reminds me of Joan and Jan. Jack left before Jan was born. It was perhaps at their meeting, years later, that Jack understood that his heart had been stolen. Brilliant verse.

My heart had really gone out to Jan. So very tragic that he chose a very similar lifestyle to her father's. And died prematurely!
