Kerouac Lives - 38 Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Kerouac Lives - 38

Rating: 5.0

Jesus is my life
In this saddened Earth
When black clouds threaten
To pour acid rain
On the downtrodden
In the quietness
I hear His whispers
Then I cry my heart out
And peace comes over me
The day is filled with love
Nightmares then become dreams…
Life is not what it seems

2) Your wonderful response so perfectly sums up my spiritual philosophy...and, most definitely, Kerouac's!

Thanks so much, Terence. I am trying to do justice for Kerouac re: his spirituality. He had a huge bone of contention with reporters and critics who continued to question his relationship with God.

beautifully crafted, I also have found many times, even in the worst of times, that peace radiating from a love friendship bound in Jesus, radiates into more peace within self, with God and other people, this is a peace which transforms lives personalities

I wrote the poems 'An Intimate Love Friendship With A Saviour' and 'An Intimate Love Friendship With Jesus', inspired by the poem 'Kerouac Lives - 38', by the poet Richard Wlodarski and dedicated to Richard Wlodarski.
