Kerouac Lives - 92 Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Kerouac Lives - 92

Rating: 5.0

The poets have stopped writing
The would-be singers are now
Just singing karaoke
The dancers are just walking
The moon has lost its damn glow
My sky has dimmed starry skies
The night has abandoned me

Pt 2.......that the world dimmed, the moon without its 'glow/ tossed him back On the Road. Brilliant verse, Richard!

This is an absolutely incredible verse. I can just see Kerouac back in that summer of '55 (I think 55) on Desolation Peak. If the aim was to get in touch with humanity, I think he found that experience so limiting
