Wow! This reminds me of Kerouac's own Visions of Gerard. I think there, if I recall that work, Jack almost deifies his brother. I suspect it was JKeroua's attempt to breathe a certain kind of life, a certain immortality, into memories....thereby making them more than memories. Well done, Richard.
