Keyboard Of Imagination Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Keyboard Of Imagination

Rating: 5.0

Tapping figuratively on a keyboard of imagination, finding rhythms that match intellectual aspirations in accurate incantations.
Traveling throughout desert plains, writing down every idea as it suddenly appears and flows out upon paper.
Challenging attitudes of revelry, hoping to proclaim admissions of other worlds, carrying self to mirror-like campsites.

For a short poem this one embraces a huge chunk of reality, it's almost dizzying to consider how much you traverse in reading it. The keyboard in question reminds me of the orphic power of music to break down barriers, the way Orpheus does by singing for Hades and Persephone. CARRYING SELF INTO MIRROR-LIKE CAMPSITES - that sounds like a tentative colonizing of the psyche, not just imagining it it but actually making it more spacious.
