K-ill the boredom of the night
A-nd the time of being weary;
R-estless by lack of interest,
L-et your mind think of poetry.

D-o kill the boredom of the night
A-nd the hour of doldrums;
R-everse the period of sadness,
R-emember the feeling's freedom.
E-motion of love from the heart has caused great vigor;
N-ew strength has energized you to uphold the spiritual fervor.

Y-our mind and soul
A-re open to the rhyme,
P-ure delight has achieved in the midst of silent time.

D-ay seven in warm July,
A-ll dark clouds turn bright;
G-ray haze drifts into the shadows
A-s you kill the boredom of the
N-ight.
