What do you do when your love is suppressed
this time you don't want it to be and it leaves you depressed
how can i break a barrier larger than life
how can will i connect to her when the relationship is rife
with walls, we don't put them up or construct them but we submit to them
this is our anthem
it's not our love that lacks strength
but the problem here is the length
inches and centimeters and miles and kilometers away
our love is suppressed
by distance
each word I say
never uttered in person
and yet we live under the same sun
we're closer than can be
and yet you can't touch me
I can tell you how much I love you,
but I can't hold you close
however you measure our distance, one day it will end
I tell you the truth my love I will not send
send you my love, I will bring it to you and your doorstep
bring it to you and lay it at your feet, well kept
You'll see i stayed faithful and waited for you
praying you waited for me too
but it's time to break down the wall
it's time to fall in love
as if it were the first time
and thus i conclude my rhyme
because our miles and kilometers will turn to inches and centimeters
and then
no more
because we'll be close, we'll be together, this time for real, i tell you the truth my love.... one day i will hold you, and yet that one day is already
here
