Kindled Moments Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Kindled Moments

Eternity became clear as eyes danced acrossed
the meduim of clouds
wise words that found serenitiy against the ears that saw more
than what they heard
touches granted as lips pressed against the breaths
that once touched the hands of the creator of all things
a place to begin a place to start
as far as the breeze that blew past
her touch sent a chill down my spine
small tremors felt as the world beneath us shook
anemic as the warmth of my hand is all I could offer
different talks of the fulfillment of another felt the air
dreams since past days resparked as the deeper we listened
the deeper we gazed into each others eyes
the garden of eden
the same paradox that craddled romeo to juliets stare
sensations kindled as the moments before seemed to've passed by faster
infactuations that've begun with the stare our hands couldn't pull away from
no sense in denial
as we conversed about the blindness that has occured within our seperate paths
prayers to have one day felt the depth of what we most desired
she confessed if more than a prayer she wanted the same kind of love
that held the stars to the sky
I then confessed I wanted the kind of love that held the pillars of heaven to eternity
as by then the saturdays of my youth would epicly come true
staring off into the window's view remind's me of your eyes
those faraway eyes that mimic the fall leaves
bright huges of red and brown that occupy the reflection of myself staring out into the depth
searching only to find they compliment you in ways only seen through the eyes of the gods
has to be
as for myself I couldn't tell
through these eyes perfection couldn't surmount to the depths of the hands
that's created such beauty
the beauty I see each time my eyes find you
for only god could create something so pristine
divine as the moment first breaths were taken in your presence
from yours to mine & mine to yours
oh those lips that could've kissed the heavens themselves
as wise words once quoted
there is but one happiness in life
if that truly is fact then understand
I need not look any farther for the forest has become my tree
and the roots have become my strenght
only you can satisfy that pleasure
justify my mind, justify my body
If god was a her
She'd be you
perfect in every sense of the word
fires that commit to the wicks from which they burn
Fulfill only the thrist my soul
Can reach as dawns horizon melts into dusks rising
Overtaken by the way our hellos were passed
I found great pleasure in the way sounds could vocalize such desire
smitten by the breath that tastes as vanilla to the senses
words began to melt into the infactuation of infactuation itself
truths that met eye to eye with the whispers that repinted for every second
that wasn't met for the moment my eyes connected with yours
for every moment sheep was counted instead of the warmth of your touch
for every second thats passed without your embrace
red and blue pens traced the stars to and fro
circling the laments sung from the moon to the stars
craddling the craters from which they wish to see closer
wishing to be more than the muse that takes up the mental portrait
armeggdon of the soul and mind as for once
they'd wish to sleep as one while the rest of the planets light the galaxy
mere lights that playgerize whats felt between you and I
