Knarled Endings - Poem by David Harris

Going through some old papers
belonging to my yesterdays.
Their knarled ending
savor no hidden smiles.
Remorse and sadness
they etched across my brow.

Times have changed me
and I have moved on.
Yesterdays are yesterday,
links lost from the present.
Still I must read the words
however painful some can be.

Soon I will be finished
and I can continue again
without the detours there
and what might have been.
Photographs and memories
will be stored for another day.

Greetings David, very warm but sad rhyme. Good luck and powerful health my kind friend .
