Labor Day's Resolution Poem by Laquory Jones

Labor Day's Resolution

Labor day was a success relieving any mental
Distress trying to polish a new style of poetry
Being an innovator I hope to be my destiny,
A goal, a dream or so it seems when will I
Be able to bear the fruits of spring when the
Winter's long I try to think when reality is on
It's brink making me swallow things I've never
Thought I'd drink, but doesn't vinegar taste
Bitter-sweet after a while just like life itself
So I go that extra mile I'm in need of dire help
Things began to pile as if shopping through an
Aisle I'm on memory lane as eyes widen
You can see my growing pains they always grow
On you I always seem to find myself sewing
Through when I feel myself falling through the
Arctic cool perhaps I am a fool still I'm looking
For better days in the sun to utilize it's warmth

I know there are better days to come
Labor day has come and pass but we only
Seem to toil when will it last I'm seeing
Clearer through my magnifying glass
Hearts of Brass turns into stones as it
Recoils against my bones it's this Life
I own within it compassion is shown just
So you can see how much I've grown

I'm set on living my life sit back and relax
Striking Heartbreaks with a picket ax
My life has hit its climax just stating facts
Inhale, exhale, deep breaths as it swells my ears
Ringing like wedding bells I've been thinking
Too much but when is enough life and it's trough
So much to drink up causing me to think up
It's so many things that I find myself having to
Link up (Emotions from with-in) eager to ink up
Testaments of something new so listen up
I'm on the brink of something bigger Than
I could have ever dreamed of sometimes
I tend to find myself literally sink up as if
Gravity is holding me up the pull never eased
Up But I know there are better days to come

Labor day has come and pass but we only
Seem to toil when will it last I'm seeing
Clearer through my magnifying glass
Hearts of Brass turns into stones as it
Recoils against my bones it's this life
I own within it compassion is shown just
So you can see how much I've grown
