Lament From A Vampire Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Lament From A Vampire

Rating: 4.5

You are beautiful, throughout the centuries of time
There is nothing more precious than you.
I didn't understand that when I was younger.
Full of vigor, I never took the time out for anyone or anything.
It took you to waltz into my life without reason nor care.
Lounging about with nothing better to do.
Sometimes I question if faith was truly this kind.
To bless me with constant thoughts of you
The gift passed with every glance of your eyes.
Even when your gone I'll wallow around in grief.
possibly more lost than I ever was, but your presence will ever remain.
Time is truly something we cannot get back, that's something
you don't have to be immortal to realize.
Even in the cruelest sentiment,
I long for your everlasting grace.
To truly be held high in the pedestal of your eyes.
I wouldn't bite you although I long for your companionship.
I love you enough to save you the cruel faith of remaining the same
while everything around you changes.
The dark shadow that creeps once the sun settles.
I long to watch the sunrise against your eyes.
Those hazelnut eyes that look with much surprise.
Your empathy knows no bound,
How freely you give yourself. I don't think anyone around you knows.
As your are beauties splitting image.
There isn't enough wealth to crystalize your heart.
Whereas I long to feel it's throb, replacing the one I no longer have.
If by chance you find this, know
That I'll give myself to the sun just to watch the sunrise in the paradise of your eyes.
No longer afraid to give myself to anyone
