Language Does Not Work - Poem by Sayeed Abubakar
Language does not work
when two hearts speak.
When two souls talk,
language becomes dumb.
Language becomes then
stars of the sky,
waves of the sea
and leaves of trees.
This night we need not talk,
let us listen to the dumb words
of our two united sad souls
sighing, laughing and weeping in pleasure.
