Last Chance Poem by vanessa feliciano

Last Chance

Rating: 4.0

i feel maimed
Im bleeding love
trying so hard
but its never enough
thought this was different
thought you were too
but thoughts can deceive
my thoughts weren't true
you knocked the wind from me
swept the carpets from my feet
and now im not face to face with you
but face to face with defeat
you have but one chance
to make things right
and you know if you dont
you wont sleep at night
it will take more than screw drivers
and wrenches to fix this
but i desperately want to
and im not ashamed to admit
who's fault it is, who's right or wrong
what will wondering this do?
Why cant we settle with equality
if you love me and i love you?
could this really be over
by one fleeting glance?
Can you tell me?
Or will you miss your last chance?
