Lata Mungeshkar Poem by Jinnuraine Jaigirdar

Lata Mungeshkar

Leaving this song in air, singing in tune
Climbing the stairs of the sun, farewell you;
Leaving this garland dear, ringing in dune
Singing along the river fair, Goodbye You.

Being rain drop, you filled the sky with melody
In the heart of desert, you bloomed the flower of rhapsody;
That garland of flowers, dried in the morning today
Your basket of songs, given as gifts to people in play.

May your voice be unique forever
May your melody be everlasting for civilization.
