Late Night Letter Poem by Matthew Holloway

Late Night Letter

Rating: 5.0

This is a letter penned to you
Whom I guess I would call my love
You are like the finest of wines
And the strongest of liquors
A percentage to drive me blind
With desire and infatuation
I find you strangely near perfect
Ans even embrace your imperfections
You're a graceful contradiction
I think of the movie romances
And those found in favoured novels
Would I take a bullet or a blade
In order to maintain your existence
My gut, my soul, my heart and mind
All scream yes, yes I would without doubt
Maybe you are the greatest of loves
I have been intoxicated upon
And in this letter I express my service
My soul and heart to you
A loyal friend and servant
Signed
The greatest fool to love
To ever love you
