Lavender Twilight Poem by ShellyBean Stanowski

Lavender Twilight

Rating: 5.0

The quiet of night keeps alluring me
underneath the moonlight with my love
Where lingering voices whisper softly
in the lavender of twilight there of

Your arms inviting me ever closer
so close I feel your comforting fire
Slowly our flames start smoldering
awakening our hidden desires

With the night's cloak shrouding us
I feel your sweet breath on my face
As if wanting to coax out my secret
your eyes inquire while we embrace

Your fingers start tracing my eyebrows
then resting along my upturned nose
A touch as soft as a drifting butterfly
sipping nectar from a garden rose

How I want this night to go on forever
I wonder if you feel this way too
Then suddenly our eyes meet again
and my secret revealed...I love you

Oh so beautiful.... so gentle, easy flowing poetry! Such a great work, it just had to come from the depths of your heart, since it is so inviting to dreaming...: -) You have a 1000 from me, in a 1 to 10 scale! ~~Elya Thorn~~
