In outer space all of the aliens know 'Bowie'
With him - we never felt alone...
'Ziggy Stardust'with his orange hair hypnotized...
Softening many hearts once made of stone.
He was the 'Man Who Fell to Earth'
Such a wise 'sage' was he...
David was so many character's of sheer genius
So many persona's, indeed, he was ALL he could be.
Much later in life he questioned: 'Where Are We Now? '
With the birth of the following day the answer arrived
Shining forth with the brilliance of 'BlackStar'
A parting gift - that will forever be alive.
Surprising us with a Broadway musical
For Lazarus was really saying goodnight and goodbye
For much too soon, Lazarus would arise one last time
Hence becoming immortal singing his songs from the sky.

A dedication to the musical icon David Bowie who left us way too soon this year. He died from liver cancer and had kept his illness a secret.
Believe there will never be another like him....
Whenever i think of him - i always break out in song singing: 'Let's Dance'.
Theo, you are such a magician with words- -with a wave of your pen, you paint us a portrait- a living portrait- of Bowie. Thank you! 10 of course!
Susan, thank you so much. Just a little something i wrote when i first heard he had left us at 69. Broke my heart...broke a lot of peoples hearts. Such a brave soul...suffering silently with liver cancer for a year after diagnosis. Always appreciate your reviews, even on my not so good verse. You are entirely too generous! ! Oh, and you are the magician with words...you and Edmund V. Strolis! ! ! ! ! !

I would like to translate this poem
He was an icon and I remember listening to his music as I grew up
Yes, Kelly, he was an icon. Listened to him much of my life.
