Left For Later... - Poem by Anita Atina

'More later' he says

There's no later

Only the now

A moment once passed

Doesn't return

Think of all the people you missed

The opportunities let slip

Girls you didn't kiss

Songs unsung

Melodies half done

And dreams undone

All left for later...

Anita you really hit me dead centre with this wonderful issue of truths. I am the worst one for saying always later and later never comes. Top marks and thanks for sharing this my friend.

see, this is what writing poetry should be all about! Simple, yet beautiful, not lost in a maze of words the reader barely understands. You convey a message, and it is a powerful timeless one- don't miss the opportunities presented in front of you. I try and write about that when im not moaning about the cynic that i am. good stuff, check out mine if you get a chance (Report) Reply
