Lessons From Gushing Winds Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

Lessons From Gushing Winds

Dancing merrily through the gushing winds
My soul gaily flung out like wings
The turbulence therein my bumpy ride to glory
Refreshed even in the odd sounding story
The story, my life born out of the torrents of history

I would have been a child
Merrily emerging from under the currents with pride
Even though the swollen rivers seemed to care less
Yet still I rode the banks of my dreams regardless
From such lessons, joy is endless!
