Let Me Be A Native Again Poem by Abdul Wahab

Let Me Be A Native Again

Rating: 4.5

‘Bonga’ means’ beautiful’
You, the Aryans, turn it
Into an insulting world
‘ bangla’ means ‘ugly’
Then why did you come
And enter into this land
And link up with me
Making a moderate
Foreigner?

If Hindustan is not a country
Of charms, then, oh! Babur
Why did you conquer this land
And mix up with me making
An intermediate foreigner?

Take your blood out
both legal and impure,
give me back that wonderful
piece and let me to be
a native again to belong
to my lovely mother land.
