Let me be thankful for blessings
That the one true God gives to me;
Yes, the greatest grace that He brings
Is the truth that makes my soul free.

Let me be thankful for the air
That I breathe in every second;
The oxygen is everywhere
To aid my life neath the beacon.

Let me be thankful for the meal
That satisfies my appetite;
The gladness and mirth that I feel
Make my body well day and night.

Let me be thankful deep inside,
To think of other's sentiment;
Let my empathy be applied
To people with predicament.

Allow me to get through tough time,
Due to the things so beautiful;
They truly make myself sublime,
In my mind let me be thankful.
