Let Not Your Angel Slumber Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Let Not Your Angel Slumber

It happens should humane in man fail,
Should the saint slumber in an angel,
Human creed if gets curst
And man does damnedest worst,
O wake not a snoozing old devil
That lies in every man,
Keep it bottled if can,
Hidden fiends harder are to assail.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Hidden devils always dwell deep in men. Man after all has evolved from beast. The angel in him keeps them under check. If so, what makes the angel in man to slumber? The answer perhaps is: when man is not in touch with his true self
