Let's Escape Poem by Kasia Fedyk

Let's Escape

Rating: 3.5

Lets go to Bora Bora, what do you say,
my friend,
I can see on your face that you are glowing
with the idea, but of course!
don't you think it's brilliant?
We will get there on our wings of freedom.
We will sit on a shell of the shore
sipping pina coladas,
a white coconut cream melting in our mouth
with aftertaste of light rum, ahhhh
We will stare at the sunset that looks like a fire ball,
waving goodbye, on its way to get a haircut,
and when the moon comes out it will giggle
with us while we take a stroll on the silver sands
and swim with the dolphins hand in hand
and they will tell us their tales.
We will dance in our flowing dresses
painted with colors of the rainbow
with a turban on out heads
and camels in our pockets.
And sing a song of Glory.

The Aftertaste of Dreams Yes I’m there and see The whiteness and azure Of your searching eyes In surf, sand and undulating blue I’m slicing the manna of Our shared happiness So you somehow keep most I’m already seared by Slipping grains of time I know its not there So I’m dancing but Perfecting moves When I shall waltz alone Caring not to step On the empty space Where your feet were I swim out of this reverie To my coast of reality Knowing you’ll wake up Unscathed from misery of dreaming
