Let's Bogey Poem by Ima Ryma

Let's Bogey

I've been around for centuries.
Parents do talk of me a lot,
To make kids do as parents please,
So a scary rep I have got.
A misbehaving child is told
To better behave or else I
Will come, and that child I'll grab hold,
And take away bad gal or guy.
I might hide under the bed or
Maybe in the closet I'll be.
The naughty kid's scared all the more
Of not being sure where is me.

I can be a he or a she,
A bogeyperson I do be.
