Life Poem by suja nair

When I was a child, I never knew what Life was.....
I thought it was full of toys and sweets,
As a teenager I thought Life was wonderful,
full of fun and pranks and enjoyment and love....
Later in Life I came to know that Life is a race,
a race for job, a race for money....
When Life reached marriage, I was made to
understand, Life is a compromise.....
When Life was compromised, I came to understand
that it is an adjustment......
adjustment with husband, his moods etc.....
Life gave a new meaning when children were born.....
it just moved so fast that, Life was not understood there...
Later it was realized that Life is a race, race against time,
with husband, children, office........Life is hectic....
As children reach their adolescence Life is a
mystery......with so many puzzles.....
Now as time moves on........ I ask myself
What is Life, Is this what I asked of Life....
Is Life what you make of it....
Or Is Life destined........
