Life - A Bliss Not To Loose Poem by Nishi Kumari

Life - A Bliss Not To Loose

Rating: 4.8

I reside in a lonely courtyard from where life
seems to be the most beautiful bliss I once had
There were the rainbows of hopes struggling hard
to survive
I wish I had bestowed them an opportunity to bloom
before I murdered them
There were some faint hues of happiness on the way
to my door
I wish I had the patience to wait for their arrival
before I slammed the door shut forever
There was the rain, the untouched pearls of immortal
joy dancing outside that night
I wish I had the courage to forget my selfish
anguishes and drench barefoot in the cold
There was a flickering strength in my soul begging
for a second chance
I wished I had paid attention to its uncountable
prayers
There were limitless aspirations in the depth of my eyes,
the last time I looked up the misty mirror
I wish I had the sight to envisage the truth I was
escaping from so desperately
I felt I had lost everything when I stabbed myself
with the rusted iron knife
But now I realize, I had everything that moment except
the dismal deathly silence I die in now
Full of remorse, compunction and contrite in ever part
of my dilapidated corpse...
