Life At 60 Plus - Poem by pushpasaurabha sugandha

What life means at 60 plus

What is age? - It’s just a number
And old age – is just a greater number
To be mentally and physically fit, is good to remember
You now need to know the significance of the colour amber.

Freedom and wisdom are now in you as a combination
Forget not that you are an important link between two generation
Life at this stage seems to be an examination
To face this most of us need little preparation

Reminiscence the happy moments of yester years
Do not think about the future fears
Enjoy eating leisurely oranges and pears
Be strong from within and shed no tears

Experience in you is like a mountain
Happiness in you is like a fountain
Foundation and edifice of the family you do maintain
And efficiently handle all the matters that pertain

Your love and attention children will need
To criticism and hard talk, pay no heed
Enjoy the company of grandchildren and play with links and beads
Pray God and do daily, some good deeds

Forget not to take tablets and tonics regularly
That sugar medicine and insulin particularly
Do not postpone medical checkup indefinitely
Not becoming dependent physically is a bliss definitely

Remember the precious ageold adage
Which says add life to age
and not age to life.
This keeps us away from all strife
