Life Lived On Assumptions Made Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Life Lived On Assumptions Made

Many live to take for granted,
What they do and say to others.
Believing that way to live is okay.
Caring less who it is,
Taken for granted.

Then one day,
That World to live in...
Dramatically and suddenly changes.
Nothing about it is 'normal' anymore.
And like children,
Many want what they had before.
To take for granted,
Lives to live on assumptions made.

And yet...
Either way,
They begin to face the truth...
Even that becomes too difficult to do.
Since...
That had been the one thing,
Many believed could always be deceived.
