Light Bright Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Light Bright

Feel that spark?
From a light.
To had believed it dimming.
Giving darkness for years,
A place inside to spread its dread.

Uninvited yet accepted,
Would remain to stay as is.
Uninvited to sit.
Prolonging an unwelcomed visited.
The thought of it,
Brought many to tears.

Yet...
That darkness has begun,
Slowly beginning to go.
Showing.
More of a brightness.
More of a reason to smile.
Not done to do for awhile.

Letting those who know,
That light returning back.
Brighter.
As if to have awaited,
For a time to discover...
Like no time before.
What it was to leave,
Doubt behind.
And faith kept to keep it.

Never again to question,
The power of it received.
From inside to outside...
Glowing!
Leaving everyone,
Incapable to resist it.
Or refuse the seduction,
Of the benefits it gives witnessed!
