Like A Fine Summer's Day Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Like A Fine Summer's Day

Rating: 5.0

A part of me is missing now,
That part of me is you,
My life is like a flower now,
Never to feel the fresh morning dew,
Each morning I awaken,
To a sinking feeling inside,
You took away my spirit,
The day you closed your eyes,
And no one can replace you,
No one can ever be,
As lovely as you,
Like a fine summer's day,
Your love shone over me.

Reminds me of Leo Marks poem; "The life that I have is all that I have, but the life that I have is yours. The love that I have is all that I have, the love that I have is yours, yours, yours.
