Like Smoke Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Like Smoke

She's set my soul on fire
The smoke quickly rising
from my head.
I've wandered into her lungs
in search of her heart.
My head a burning bush
spread in quick panic.
I dance,
to the rhythm she breathes
I dance,
between the boarder of fingers
Snug in close embrace,
Addicted to the taste of her lips
My breath, my spirit, my soul
Undressed on her lips
Reminding me the reason I exist.
She's set my soul on fire
The smoke, quickly rising from
my head.
I hang on the corner of her lips
high from asphyxiation.
Her addiction, her need
The reason she often smells like
smoke.
High & in love, just like me
