Like The Sun Coming Out Poem by Marilyn Jean

Like The Sun Coming Out

Today, the sun finally came through
Later, our words are so simply gone
Soon, this day will be too
So remembering us standing still
Holding close, all our thoughts
Hearts singing a bit loader, thrill
When a hand felt almost free
But it was just a passing dream
That of the ghost of my hand
Lightly caressing your soft hair
Like a lost whisper to you hear
That was today, that was one day
The sun came out and nothing more
Closing such a very very long week
Nothing more, nothing at all
